Im leaving FF for the summer, and my account is in writing moment deactivated… The last 2 summers have gotten away from me cause Ive been spending it in front of the XboX… This year however I have made so many plans, I dont see how it would fit with FF at all… Thus I made up my mind to leave until summer is over…

I logged in on Saturday to say bye to all my friends, also give away some pop items im sure sky shell will need… and I spent my last evening there doing something I’ve always loved since I started it…

Not only was it Dyna-Xarc, but this saturday was my saturday run nr. 100… hundred dyna runs… hundred saturday evenings kicking ass and collecting gear… And I thought I woul dget tired after 60 runs…

I still got on my THF and dragged my legs to Gustav Tunnel… I knew where NM would pop, that it was WAR, that it could be soloed… that it MIGHT drop a GA called Eisentaenzer, AKA Iron Dancer…

Ok here we go… Killed all the gobs in the room, was like 4 of them… and waited for repops… I assumed repops was 5 min, but I was wrong… So outta boredom I killed all the leeches… then all the flies… Figured it had to be 15 min pop when a Reaper showed back up… so I killed him and noticed the time on my XboX menu…

Everyone on XboX knows when you push the middle button on controller a window opens on youre TV making it hard to see what happens in the game… Im sure many ppl have been aggroed cause they stopped to answer a XboX msg, I know I have… Its why I dont use MSN on XboX… Ever…

When I closed XboX window and got back to the game, my HP was in yellow and something was bashing me from behind… Fuggin NM had spawned from one of the Reapers…

Aye, it does aggro a 75… Hit pretty hard too, that lil rascal… Tok me a few minutes to kill him, he used his Mighty Strikes and all that jazz…

And oh my… Well that was lucky… pop after 15 min and 1/1…

Then Joe meant it was 100% drop, so I looked it up later in the evening, and saw this comment:

Well then, pty on… havent touched WAR in maybe 2 years, but I wanted to start with that… I was halfway expecting it to be hard to get pty, had a friend on Hades and she always complained how impossible it was to get a friggin pty on WAR… but ofc that was before the level sync days…

Didnt take long to ding 40, and heck yea, its time to start AF weapon quest !!! So I ran to Bastok mines, there is a little old lady, Phara, not far from MH… she asked me for some Sword Grip Material… okidoki, so I dressed in red and went to Davoi… to the open area at K-9 / K-10, where there are alot of orcs running around and a bunch of tent’s… I was looking for a Hide Flap, wasnt hard to spot, and just killed every orc around tent to avoid aggro… then I searched the tent and spawned 2 NM’s, a WAR and a DRK…

Yes they died…

And I got my key item from the Hide Flap and went back to bastok… Phara told me to come back later, so I had to wait a game day… Then She wanted me to seek out her grandson Naji in metalworks… after talking to him I got my weapon:

Im still wondering why it was an Axe and not a Great Axe…

Crabbies… They usually harder to bring down then bunnies, with their sassy lil defense bonuses and stoneskin… Wiki recommended going to Vunkerl Inlet (S), cause of frequent wind and lightning weather there… so thats what I did…

In the area I did a quick search, and saw a jap pty doing Trial 17… And I was like…

I got no answer… Instead they killed every crab in sight, like 3-4 at a time… They even pulled crabs I was about to claim…

YES GODDAMN RIGHT I WAS BUTTHURT…

Managed to kill about 10 on my own before I skulked to sky and moaned to Sotel about the unfairness of life… Sorry for whining but I was just shocked to my fucking core…

So after Sky me and Sotel went to the past, lil more strenght in numbers… The jap pty I saw earlier was gone, but there was a new one there… And I asked again for team up… but no… I was ignored once more… Or leader was away for a very very veeeery goddamn long time, of course I dont know this for sure… I just know that me and Sotel did a damn good job killing crabs… so good we most likely slowed the other pty down… alot…

Bout 20 min later I get a tell from leader asking about Team Up… Oh I lol’d… but yes of course I invited them to Alliance with us… Im not a complete dick, pfft… Was smooth sailing after that… got interrupted few hours cause of dyna, but at the end of the day first Trial 17 was over…

And a Brand new dagger I got…

Sunday morning I started Trial 17 on second dagger and went back to Inlet [S]… Dragged Lukaan with me too, so kills would be faster… I put a big fat invitation to all Trial 17 peeps on my /seacom… 5 min later we had a nice pty going on and killed really fast… had nice luck with the weather too, and I actually finished my trial before having to go to sky… I was there no more then 3 hrs, it was awesome…

However I now found myself at a crossroad…

I know… I want the evasion dagger… absolutely… So I started Trial 24 on one of them…

But the other…

So the first 100 bunnies was done very fast, and I went to the moogle to trade my Peeler and got my new weapon:

THEN… I got a new Peeler… and signed up for another Trial 16… Yea, might as well do them both at once… If I stress around with the 1st dagger, I might lose my motivation to do a second one…

Have been thinking about it alil while now, but wondering WHY I should just add more work on top of everything else im doing atm… also with the new update coming soon… Do I really need to torture myself with this ??

Apparantly I do want this torture… I went to moogle and got my THF/BRD/DNC trial weapon… Ze Peeler…

I can see the finished result should be useful for a possibly future DNC… Not sure if Solo BRD excist in big numbers, but it would be a nice weapon for BRD aswell…

I started Trial 16:

I headed to Uleguerand Range where the bunnies are nasty and the weather is icy… I only killed about 6 before I had to log, but a few things is very clear to me…

A: I need more Acid and Bloody bolts…

B: Im very glad I have Romidiant, and hes gonna have a rough future with me…

C: This might take some time… Unless I bribe someone to help…

So… Anyone doing trial 16 ??

Also some time back I was farming in  W Sarutabaruta I got this… cute lil thing isnt it, though ill admit the delay on the cor guns are getting on my nerve a smidge…

Also I wasnt /anon for a reason when I went out soloing… I loathe SMN burns, cause they gimp youre skills so badly… but for me… at this lvl with COR I was capped out on everything, so wasnt a big deal…

In fact the only job I DONT want to SMN burn is SMN… heh…

Bout 5 min after I dinged 12 I got a SMN burn invite… So I went there and got to lvl 23 within 15 min… so fast, gotta love that…

I didnt really wanna end it at 23 though, horrible uneven number, so I skipped over to Jugner Forest for some FoV fun… COR isnt as strong with the sword as I was hoping… And no, I didnt buy any daggers cause I wasnt planning on taking it very high for now… range attack isnt the best either… but still I was having a great time in Jugner with the leeches, and lvl 24 came fast…

Then I got a tell from Scalor, he asked me if I wanted to join MMM… 2 sec’s later he admits they just wanted me for my Corsair’s roll and Hunter’s roll… bastards…

Havent really tried MMM much, so not 100% sure how it works, but ah well, I got some marble copy from the menu, so no need to torture brain cell’s to figure MMM out just yet… we went in and killed a bunch of birds, in the end we got 5500 exp points… that tipped me over from lvl 24 to 25…

And now I got enough marbles to get the Eye-Patch I wanted so much when MMM first came out… I was looking at it in menu and thinking “naaah”… Just inventory -1 anyways… (might change my mind tomorrow though)

Firstly I was killing off easy prey… Easy prey means the skills wont go up with much speed, but since I was putting the avatars away everytime I used them, I figured id get some skills summoning them back… worked fairly well…

Then I just cracked and lost patience… I started joining the fights and didnt release the avatars… that way I managed to kill 5-6 EP before I ran out of MP and had to rest… After leveling a few times I felt guilty for my shitty skills, and spent a small eternity summoning Elements…

Seriously… This job MUST start to kick ass at some point…

It does right?? Anyone know?? … please.. I need some encouragement…

My empress band wore just as I crawled over to lvl 16… ok, before I try SMN again, im gonna have to look up some solo guides or some crap like that… I could barely solo a EM dhalmel without risking my life… and it took forever !!! Like resummoning Carbuncle for 3rd time before bastard Dhalmel died… thats just horrible… I need more skills… MORE SKILLS!!!

Screw this, Im trying something different tomorrow…

You must have Starlight Medal, also you can only get it once pr tally,  and it cant be recharged… You get it from Sigil NPC in the city that owns the throneroom, and if its youre nation it will cost you 15 000 allied notes… if its another nation it will cost you 22 000 AN…

Im disgustingly happy atm… Got the cursed Togi for a lousy 460 000 gil… I was surprised, used to be double that… I would absolutely love to get the +1 … But I dont have 9 mill, and I dont really have patience to wait with the Abjuration while I go out farming for months…

BIG FAT TY to my Sky shell, you guys RAWK!!!

Last time I touched BLU was about 2 years ago… I unlocked it and tried it out… and ragequit at lvl 10 cause I couldnt learn Pollen to save my life… I was PISSED… and BLU was biggest shit job of them all… and so on and so on…

But allright, I choose to give it another chance…

My interest immidiatly went up when I managed to learn Head Butt from the first Quadav I saw… followed by (believe it or not) Pollen… Sprout Smack… This was awesome !!! I was totally changing my mind about BLU… BLU was kicking ass…

Just Metallic Body took me some tries, but the more I tried for it, the closer I got to lvl’ing up… FoV makes it even faster… and once more, I did not manage to pop LL even though I killed every liz I saw… ah well…

I failed getting the belt for COR too… dang it… but at lvl 12 I wanted to get the Battle Dance from orc’s, so I left the rocky gustabergs to go home and run in my own forest… after getting Battle Dance, got it in my head that Blastbomb would be a natural choice…

Well, I didnt learn it… I tried very hard, I was very brave… and I kept this one alive for probably 30 min… if not more…

Fountain, Firebomb, Fire Arrow, Burst… over and over AND BLEEPING OVER!!! I was just standing there with my thumb up my ass… well, on other hand I was getting lots of BLU magic skills, cause I casted Pollen alot letting that freak beat on me… Also I think thats the reason I failed…

When it did finally use Blastbomb, I slayed him but I didnt learn it… mind you Blastbomb is a lvl 18 spell, and at lvl 13 my BLU magic wasnt even capped… so ye, I choose to believe this is why I failed…

So after killing the machine and cursing this shit, I got a tell from a person… I usually go /anon when I wanna solo so I dont get pested with pty invites… Hey, if I dont wanna pty in dunes, thats my choice, yea? Anyways, forgot /anon so this person spotted my lvl 13 BLU…

Aye…

You guessed it…

SMN burn…

I accepted invite… And went from 13 to 23 in less then 15 min… was fantastic…

Now I could get all the spells without having to wait at all, I just needed the BLU magic skills…

At lvl 25 I stopped… Have all spells from 1-25 EXCEPT Blastbomb, cause I never went back there, but I will… BLU magic is nice and capped, and my goal to get it to 20 or more is complete…

BLU was awesome, im gonna level that more another time…

So friggin exciting !!! oh btw that Regan person is the reason I had to change my windy mules name… pfft…

Moving on…

So we got our stories straight, what to do, where to be and so on, buffed up and went in… I was gonna KICK SOME ASS!!!

Well…

Im really sure… I gave Kam’lanaut a scare…

When I was up and about that is…

Sooo yea, that didnt go so well…

But give up ??? … hell… no…

We changed the pty setup alil cause some had to leave, and bribed a few COR’s in Whitegate to try and get our 2hr’s back…

Then we headed back in there for more…

After some chatting we figured our way of doing this was sound… just failed first try cause of job setup wasnt 100% of what it could have been…

So we buffed and huffed and meditated and all that jazz, and went in… PLD went straight for Kam’lanaut, kiting him around while we jumped Eald’narche…

We zerged his ass while RDM Chainspell + stunned him… then we went for the big man…

Im sure he liked to get our 2hrs in the face again… This time he went down faster… I still ate a Light Blade followed by Great Wheel and dropped dead… but I popped RIGHT BACK UP!!! Just in time for him to draw his last breath…

So long, farewell, adios, goodbye, hadet på badet… and Hasta La fucking Vista…

Rushed like a bunny to jeuno and talked to Aldo !!! And soon as clocked ticket over JP midnight I was on my way to Norg and Gilgamesh !!

Of course  I havent done any of the COR quests, so I had no clue why these 2 had a grudge against Sotel or what was going on really… but they were pissed… guess that will be a secret until I level COR myself… So Sotel, the walking wikipedia that he is, fed me some fun facts about them… such as… they cant be silenced and they cant be slept…

They would share the hate, so when Sotel jumped the galka, I could para and slow the hume and just chill until the galka was dead… then he would slap the hume, assisted with some Bind’s and Grav during 2hr,  kite him alil until 2hr wore and then kill him dead… Masterplan…

As illustrated above their hate sharing wasnt as good as we thought… I took a couple of punches too the face, and I took it like A MAN !!! … Actually stoneskin saved me there… galka died to fast for me to panic and start running like a crazy person… Sotel saved the damsel in distress, and we took care of that pesky hume…

He was not happy he died by the hand of a Corsair…

Oh hello there sweet anni ring !!

Ye, im gonna save this for something nice and sweet, absolutely… best event of the year, if you ask me… Also this year they added something new and fresh… a Dinner set for both boys and girls !?!?

Very nice Dracula theme about it, me thinks… though in my opinion they should have made a dark Opaline set aswell… But this is not the time to be ungrateful !! The dinner set looks snacksy indeed !!!

That probably dont mean much to ppl, but for me… I was very sentimental about that belt… it was part of the last fun memories I had of Rangerbob before he logged off one day and never came back…

On this day I had just gotten MNK to 30 and went straight to Bastok and unlocked DRK… was my first job quest ever… I was very proud… at the same time Rangerbobby had managed to save up and gotten almost full chainmail set for his WAR…

Just fantastic…

Ofc I wanted to take DRK for a spin, so Bobbings got his MNK and we went crazy in Ronfaure for a few levels before going to conquer Ghelsba outpost together… oh the lol’s… we went deeper and deeper into Ghelsba, ending up close to a river… where we spotted this guy:

Bobbelulu always had to do stupid things… like attacking NM’s we knew nothing about… I guess thats what made him so cute n’ fun and kinda annoying…

You know what we saw around Babbala alot??? This:

And he would laugh and laugh… If it was me, Id throw my controller cross the room and trash my XboX… but not RickiBubbi, no no… Man just bounced back up and kept going… I admired him alot for his spirit…

Anyhew, this day we were lucky and managed to beat this NM, and it dropped this:

I was in AWE !!! Just wowness, the NM just dropped a friggin belt… how cool is that !! And Blubbu just let me have it… he didnt need it for WAR anyways… then he managed to link pretty bad and sadly went face down, while I ran away like the pussy I am… I sometimes suspect he did that just so he didnt have to run all the way back to town… But I will never know…

Not long after this Bob the Ranger dissapeared for good…

And for over 3 years now Ive had that Plate Belt… used it on WAR… on DRK… and now last on PLD… This belt has come full circle, there will be no need for it anymore… So I sold it for 3k a couple of days ago… But the memories of Sir Bob will last forever…

So as soon as I could, I took BRD across the border to Buburimu… ehem well… mobs gave more experience, sure… but the competition wasnt any easier… I was competing with a taru SMN, and really cursing his name… im 100% sure he was cursing me too… big time…

BRD dinged 20, and I used my lvl 20 scroll… so far I got some nice songs; regen, acc, defense and ofc sleep… im oddly excited about the lullaby… I probably should camp Stray Mary for that Lullaby horn, but Ill think about that whenever I deside to pick up on BRD again… wont be nowish…

Goal complete anyways…

I went onwards to RNG… and over to South Gustaberg… I was hoping to get the Bronze Bandolier belt from a chest there, but had no luck sadly… I didnt see Leaping Lizzy either…

Wanted the belt for range acc +1, dont really have a nice belt for RNG at this lvl, not sure If im bothering to buy one, its only going to lvl 20 for now… but belt also gives 50 stacks of bronze bullets, 1 stack every 24 hrs…. perfect really, cause I kinda wanna do COR to 20 next… Ill have to keep trying…

After getting the Ram Staff and a bunch of more exciting cs’s, a new fight was coming up for us… however, rl stuff and so on and whatnot has kept us from wotG progress the last 2 weeks… but now we are here…

We had our key item “Magelight Signal Flare”… whatever the hell that is… and from a target called Spell-worked Snow not far from ”Rally Point:Green” where we got the Flare in question, we entered Ghoyu’s Reverie… nasty place much like Everbloom…

Misson is really exciting actually… Ghoyu’s Reverie is divided into 3 areas, every area will crawl with yags, orcs and quadavs, in last area there will also be demons…

At the beginning of the area you appear in when you enter battlefield, is alil taru; Pesoso… talk to her to get started… Then its just to trash the place as best you can in as little time you can… last mob standing in first area will take off like a rocket when its at 1% life… he will run and run and run, until he blows up into a wall, opening up the next area… The lil taru will calmly jog in and keep watching…

Trash the next area, and last 1% hp mob will run away and suicide on the wall… taru will jog into 3rd area… this is also where the demons start coming… so 3rd area is tougher obviously…

The mobs will drop temp items very similar to besieged/nyzul, helps alot, dont really have time to sit down or slow down… they link like crazy, but only with their own family… the mobs are weak, so AoE magic ftw !!!

After killing everything, we talked to Pesoso again and fight was over…

We got an Elixir…

That pretty much means we SUCKED… timewise that is…

Ah well, moving on to next mission…

Storm’s Crescendo…

We headed to check the “Rally Point:Blue” at (H-8), and got key item: “Alchemical Signal Flare”… we checked the fairly innocent looking Excavated Snow around the corner of the Rally Point, and got zoomed into Ghoyu’s Reverie again… a wrinkled tunnel filled with various NPC’s and Falxfang Tigers who agro you on sight…

Our objective:

Sounds easy enough… however… Talking to the NPC at start will give a Flee affect, and that flee must be on the entire bomb run, you get it refreshed everytime you make a charge go off…  If allowing it to wear or aggroing any of the mobs in the tunnel, its game over and you have to start at the beginning…

We made Taube our runner… While he took off in one direction, we ran the other way killing all the tigers we could see….

Just so he wouldnt get agroed at the end of the run, that would suck… They made it fairly easy, and getting the last explosion put Taube very close to start NPC, where he could end the run…

Successssssss…

… now we are gonna start crawling into Castle Zvahl Baileys (S)… Im scared…

So I started with DRG…

Took this pic back when I unlocked the job and lvl’d it to 17 in beginning of 2008… havent touched it since… It was great fun roaming La Theine again… and I got to 20 in no time… ok, whats next ??

I jumped to PLD…

Really alot more easy/fun to level low levels now after FoV and the spike in Easy Prey exp.points… with regen and refresh there hardly is any downtime, running around killing non stop… ofc at this point I have no need of skills, its all capped from previous jobs… I suspect Shield skill is first one thats gonna be uncapped…

Then I got the chance to level with Sotel and Akai in Qufim… love this zone…

PLD is great fun, I cant wait to see how it is when it gets higher… however my Qufim adventure ended when I dinged 25… Either way I finished my goal and got it to 20…

So I jumped to BRD following day…

Im was thinking… if I started in windy area, I could get the lullaby spell from a yag… not cause I was cheap, more cause I went on a shopping trip and got all songs from 11-20… except the lullaby… empty on AH, ah well… not exactly a crack in the road for this latent music lover…

So I crawled to 14, pissing off bunnies and sapling with my energic playing… Every level is like christmas cause I get to use a scroll, and I pop a song I most likely wont use alot, but its cheap at NPC, and I need to have EVERYTHING, cause that just the way I am… also bet youre ass Ill need it if I dont have it…

What should I take to 20 after BRD?? And dont says PUP, Im saving that one for later… waay later… when I have not more options later…
