“Fun” with augmentations… AKA fail 2…

Oddly I think since my first attemt to augment the weskit was fail, the next one had to be better… Also back then I tried the turtle in VoS, wanted to see if the dolly in sky was better/easier/more fun/whatever…

Good news is… well, he must have had a bad day or something, cause he died within 1 minute… I dunno, went so fast I didnt really see all the moves he made… We started with alittle skillchain, took a nice juicy chunk of dolly’s life, Kro was just headbutting like there was no tomorrow, and I took the time to get this screenshot of it… but after I didnt have time for nothing, not even sticking a Paralyze on him… was wild…

I opened the chest eager as a kitty with a string… only to find…

Its been 2 lucky Xarcabard runs for me in a row now…

We got so much AF, PLD within the first 5 minutes of the run… x2 WHM x3 SMN x2 THF (yea, no joke) RDM (no joke either) BST BRD WAR PUP… and then last… BLM…

First DRK AF !!!

Been thinking it for a loooong time I should finish DRK as subjob for RDM, just so whenever someone wants Chainspell + Stun… I actually have it… ppl get sad when I say DRK isnt 37… makes their day worse… So off I went on my innocent DRK… carrying a Cruel Scythe I ripped from the hands of Doppelganger Dio myself… like 3 years ago…

Not sure why I kept that Scythe so long… its not like its hard to get… just me beeing sentimental… ah the good ol’ times…

Well my plan was to get DRK to 37 and that would be that… I got a Qufim pty lvl 18 sync. early in the day, and it turned out to be one heck of a gang I was with… 10 hrs we kept at it… I went from 27 to 38… From Qufim to the jungle… it was wicked…

After few hrs. sleep I went back to qufim to deal with my Scythe and GS skills beeing seriously low for my level, and I put flag on just for fun… 2 sec’s later I had a new pty… wow, I thought it was gonna be hard to level DRK… some time later I hit 43… and yeah, you know what that means…

Its AF time… 

You can start AF quest Dark Legacy at 40, but the AF Scythe cant be used until DRK is lvl 43… dunno why, but thats how it is… so off to Bastok I went to see the quiet Galka Raibaht… He hangs out with Cid in his laboratory in Metal works… after talking to him, I went down and into the Darksteel forge and talked to Mighty Fist… Not getting into too much details here, but he gave me a Key Item I had to take to Windy… so I went to windy and saw Cochal-Monchal in the Optistery (Northern Windurst Waters)…

Then I went and got a Yagudo Cherry and headed for Giddeus !!!

At (H-14) on the map is a ??? in the opening of a cave high up on the mountain wall…

Trade the Yag Cherry to the ??? to spawn Vaa Huja the Erudite, BLM NM… took 2 secs for him to link some of the yags in the area, but wasnt really a problem at 75… lower levels might wanna take care, and clear the area first…

After his death, I checked the ??? again to get the key item I was looking for… then I returned to the Metalworks, and talked to Mighty Fist first, he told me to haul ass to Raibaht… talked to the quiet R to complete the quest and I got my reward… woo!!!

It dont look super special, but I like the extra stats…

He finally dropped the Abjuration… and not suprisingly, I found my way to the NPC in sandy rather quick after the sky run… Even dressed in BLM for the occasion…

Traded the abjuration and the cursed mitts I got from AH and taa-daaa…

Nyzul Isle Investigation… (11-20)

Been having some bad luck with this damn place, but I guess thats half the fun with Nyzul… the random unfairness when you get crap after crap after crap and the crap makes you run out of time…

But anyways, we did manage to claw ourselves up to floor 20 and the first Boss floor…

In the end he dropped NIN weapon and Goliard clogs… I have no interest in any…

But yey floor 20 in Nyzul !!!

… I seriously over prepared for this one …

I dunno, maybe Im just afraid cause he killed me good on RDM when I tried that… but this is BLM, totally different… Anyways, I got my Blink Band out of storage, had my rr ready, my pie ready, I even went and got an INT potion…

Wrath of the Griffon…

With ToAU over and one mission away from finishing ZM and CoP stories, its time to look at WotG expansion again… (in writing moment WotG missions are not complete)

I started WotG firstly to get the option to do Campaign, later on I did some quests to get the items needed for gobbiebag VII and VIII… Then some cs’s here… som cs’s there… WotG really have some spectaculer cs’s too…

Got to know the cute lil elvaan kids in Southern Sandy [S] rather well… Brave little bunch all of them…

And then I came to a quest that involved killing an orc NM in higly infested Gnole territory… also the NM is a MNK… Was sure that I could not take that thing alone, also pretty sure with my luck I would attract every gnole in the area… So I just put progress in these missions/quests on ice, and think this might be almost a year ago… I remember getting a Carbon fishing Rod for my last quest and that almost made me little psyched about fishing…

Anyhew, I had some time before going to sky, so figured whattahell… getting rather sick of Campaign, been doing it so much lately, nice to take on a different challange or die trying… Says if you can avoid aggro, solo is doable by many jobs, also happy note is he DOES NOT use Hundred Fists…

I went to Jugner [S] to find the ???…

K, wasnt that hard to find… it was under a ramp… orc on top of the ramp, and I counted 6 gnoles wandering around… jeez, this could get ugly… my plan was to pull the orc east and closer to the river, so I waited until most of the gnoles changed their paths, and popped the NM meanie…

I was RDM/NIN, but maybe I should have gone RDM/WHM… he hits fast as expected from a MNK, not so bad acc either… Para II helped alot ofc, but he still took down my shadows quickly…

He used a special TP move called Tornado Edge, caused some damage, max HP down, max MP down, and max TP down on me… Only saw it once, though ppl say he can use it alot when hes low on HP… maybe I was just lucky…

So mean orc died, and I got my cs and ran the hell away from there before some gnole sniffed me out… Back in town I was rewarded with a Military script I sold to Wyatt for 20k…

Allrighty, good stuff… I can continue with my missions now… next fight up will be a dragon!! oO;;
